In 2014 Wilsons stardom exploded over the pond in a more prominent way after she was cast on Showtimes The Affair as Alison Lockhart an unreliable young woman with a dark past who gets involved with the husband of her dreams, Noah Solloway. The show, which also featured Maura Tierney as well as Joshua Jackson was a hit for both critics and viewers alike and won Wilson an award of a Golden Globe for Best Actress in the field of Television Series Drama in 2015. In addition the horror credits to her Wilson is also set to appear in the British movie adaptation to The Little Stranger. The supernatural thriller is based on the Sarah Waters' novel. Wilson directs the production.
